Pathology Discovery – 2014 – Volume 2/Article 8 — Article researches the effects of oral beta glucan on benign prostate hyperplasia. Initial findings show an improvement of NK cell numbers and positive effects on the PSA indices. Further support is provided by way of a case study report.

CONCLUSIONS:  Our study offers preliminary results supporting the hypothesis that oral administration of glucan has positive effects in patients suffering from benign prostate hyperplasia.
